VISIT US AT OPEN BARN!

We are so excited to host our Fall Open Barn! Please join us on October 14, 2023 from 10am to 2pm. There will be a shuttle from the parking area to the barn. Please no food or drink while on the property, water bottles will be available at Barn 4. We can't wait to introduce you to our horses and the women in our program!

Our James River Horse Foundation Fall Open Barn is a special event that promises to be a day filled with equine magic and community spirit.

The James River Horse Foundation is dedicated to the welfare and well-being of our equine friends and the vocational training of selected inmates at the State Farm Work Center. Our Open Barn event is an opportunity for you to get up close and personal with our beautiful horses, learn about our organization's mission, and meet the women who care for the horses. Whether you're a seasoned equestrian or simply curious about horses, this event is perfect for all ages.

Here's what you can expect at the Open Barn:

▪ Meet Our Horses: Interact with our gentle and majestic horses. Learn about their unique personalities, stories, and the important work they do in our program.
▪ Groundwork Demonstrations: Witness the grace and power of these majestic creatures. (weather permitting)
▪ Refreshments: Enjoy complimentary water bottles from Trader Joe's in Short Pump.
▪  Learn about our mission: Discover how we support and care for these amazing animals and the women in our program who care for them.
