Rosaleen was a long time Club member and such an amazing lady
and good friend. She was one of the founders creating the cross country courses eons ago. Rosaleen was instrumental in promoting and maintaining the Hunter Trials Field and the Horse Trials at Deep Run.

John “Rick” R. Sample, a beloved member of the Deep Run community, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, September 4th, 2023. A “Celebration of Life” in honor of Rick will take place on September 26, 2023, from 11 AM to 1 PM at Rhythm Hall, Dominion Energy Center, 600 Grace Street, Richmond, VA 23219. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests charitable contributions to be made to either the Richmond Symphony Orchestra or GoochlandCares.

It is with great sadness that we share the news that long time member and friend, Rick Sample, passed away on Monday night from pancreatic cancer. Details on a memorial service, taking place later this month, will be shared in the coming days. Please keep Rick's widow Celia Rafalko in your thoughts.
