On behalf of the masters, leadership, staff and hounds of Deep Run, thank you so much for your outpouring of generosity, concern and support following Monday’s fire at the kennels. It means so much to us during this time of need.

 The fire caused a total loss of the building and all of its contents. We do plan to rebuild at the existing site and hope to have the job completed in the next 4-5 months.

As you can imagine, while insurance will cover part of the reconstruction, there will be quite a lot that is not covered. Not only was the building completely destroyed, but its contents were lost, including office equipment, hunt clothing, medications, supplements, and countless supplies and equipment which were used on a daily basis to care for the hounds.  A substantial amount of additional money will be needed in order to replace these items and rebuild a facility that can properly house and maintain our pack for generations to come while meeting our specific needs and standards.

This is where we need your help and we humbly ask for your support. There is a special monetary fund that has been set up specifically for the  rebuilding of the facility. This is being called the “Kennel Rebuilding Fund.” Money contributed to this fund will go to the construction and furnishing of the new building and office at the kennels.

Checks can be mailed to the Deep Run office at PO Box 314 Manakin Sabot, VA 23103, or dropped off in the office or left in the mailbox by the front door. Please indicate on the memo line of your check that it is for the “Kennel Rebuilding Fund.”
